Former Bulldog Ace Tanner Scheppers was selected by the Texas Rangers with the 44th overall pick. It's the second straight year Scheppers was picked in that group ... after being taken 48th overall by Pittsburgh last year.
The Rangers then took Bulldog home run king Tom Mendonca with their second round pick. Number 62 overall. Scouts like this pick because they say the College World Series MVP and National Team Member has already competed at a high level.
