Police say Johnson was among four people shot early Sunday morning during a party in Bakersfield. Johnson was hit twice in the stomach. One person was killed.
Police have not identified the gunman or given any clues as to what the motive may have been.
A publicist for Johnson says he underwent successful surgery Monday morning and is now in stable condition.
