Clovis West Picks Coby Lindsey as Head Coach

After watching its head coach bolt for Texas just two months before the season opener, Clovis West is turning to a lifelong Golden Eagle to defend its Valley championship.         |   Watch Video Above for More Information on this Story   |

For the fourth time in four years, Clovis West High School has a new head football coach. But this time, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

Coby Lindsey said, "I think the thing you're going to see is that we're going to get back to the tradition that Clovis West is all about. And that's just hardnosed football. Playing all four quarters ... and being really disciplined."

If anyone knows about Clovis West tradition, it's Coby Lindsey. A 1987 graduate of the school ... Lindsey's hiring brought stability to a program rocked by former head coach Gary Kinne's sudden departure back to Texas.
