Students scrubbed for hours to try and get the green, blue and silver paint off the animals but some of it was still evident.

Authorities believe the incident happened Tuesday night. They say whoever did it was familiar with the farm because the animals weren't labeled and only animals from El Diamante High School were targeted. They were painted with the school's colors.

Elizabeth Ruiz said, "It's just a shame because you know ... you're caring for them it's hard to see them in this condition."

"It's not funny because it does effect the health of the animals these animals also have value both in terms of the students' time and commitment but also monetarily," said Doug Bartsch.

The school district has installed a surveillance camera at the farm in case anything happens again.
