Alaska's Governor Last Moments

Washington Near the end of Sunday's picnic in Fairbanks, Sarah Palin officially steps down, and the little known Lt. Governor Sean Parnell will be sworn in as the new Governor.

Many are still at a loss why Palin, the former Vice-Presidential Candidate, would leave office more than a year before the end of her first term. If anyone knows, they are not saying, including Palin's Husband Todd.

Todd Palin, Sarah Palin's Husband said: "It's been an awesome experience and she's very happy to serve the residents of Alaska and onto the next chapter of."

Future possibilities include lucrative speaking engagements.

Dr. Larry Sabato, Director for the Center of Politics said, "What's she heading to is a lot of money and continuing fame. So she's not giving up anything, she's gaining a great deal."

Her supporters would like to see her run for the presidency in 2012 trying to do what Hillary Clinton couldn't.

Hillary Clinton, Secretary of State said, "I do want to see a woman elected president. I hope it's a Democratic woman. "
