New York Good Morning America made the announcement Monday morning and it includes a diverse and some would say surprising crowd

This dance floor is not for the faint of heart. Get ready for the ninth season of "Dancing with the Stars" as a new cast gets ready to shimmy, shake, and samba their way into chats around the water cooler.

"Three weeks of double eliminations so we'll lose about half of our cast within that period of time. Fast and furious. It will be a ballroom bloodbath," said Dancing with the Stars host Tom Bergeron.

Among the nail-biters, four singers; Macy Gray, Donny Osmond, Aaron Carter, and Mya.

One of those people that will fall into the category of has danced before. Took a lot of training.

Of course there are athletes. NFL Hall of Famer Michael Irvin, snowboard champion Louis Vito, Olympic champion swimmer Natalie Coughlin, and Ultimate Fighting Champion Chuck Liddell.

The biggest dancing cast ever also includes actors Ashley Hamilton, Melissa Joan Hart, And Debbie Mazar.

A few of the stars are no strangers to reality TV. Kelly Osborne will give it a whirl this go-round as will Iron Chef star Mark Dacascos, who is hoping his slice and dice skills in the kitchen will translate as he attempts to cut it up on the dance floor.

Models Joanna Krupa and Kathy Ireland will have a chance to show off their moves.

And finally, former House Majority Leader Tom Delay. If his dance moves follow his political persuasion he is not likely to show up with two left feet.
