Fresno State Wins Season Opener, 51-0

Fresno, CA In his first series as the starting QB, Colburn capped off a 10-play drive with a 1-yard keeper for a touchdown. The play featured 10 rushing plays and left fans wondering when they'd get to see Colburn show off his arm.

They saw it in the second quarter when Colburn connected with Marlon Moore on a 92-yard touchdown.

Colburn finished the night with five completions in nine attempts, throwing for 161 yards, but all three Bulldog quarterbacks saw action in the blowout win over the Aggies.

Ebahn Feathers contributed a 20-yard touchdown run to cap the scoring in a first half that ended with the Bulldogs in front 35-0.

Derek Carr made an appearance in the second half, completing his only two passes for 37 yards.

Ryan Mathews also shined in the backfield, rushing for 106 yards, including a 60-yard touchdown.

The defense also had its way with the Aggies, throwing the shutout and contributing a 94-yard interception return for a touchdown by Nico Herron.

The Bulldogs test their mettle again next Saturday in a nationally televised game at Wisconsin.
