A U.S. Postal Inspector held a news conference late Thursday afternoon to update their investigation of a package that exploded Tuesday after it arrived at a Visalia business.

An employee was injured after the package detonated. Federal investigators said nearly every time an explosive device is sent through the mail ... it was sent intentionally.

They said it's rare for someone to get injured from a mail explosion and that over the last five years they've only had 13 instances where explosives were sent through the mail.

The postal inspector is asking anyone with information to call them immediately.
