Lemoore Woman Finalist in Animal Planet Contest

Lemoore, CA /*Terri Stonehocker*/ runs the "Stonecliffe Animal Rescue" in Lemoore. A family friend nominated Terri for "Hero of the Year" on the cable network "Animal Planet" and she is now a top ten finalist.

In the last six years-- she's found homes for more than three-thousand animals through her rescue. She says she's also on target to surpass her goal of 500 adopted animals this year. She said she was surprised by the nomination.

Stonehocker said, "Hero of the year nominee it didn't really soak in until when everybody told me what a big deal it was because this is just what I do ... win or lose I'm going to continue to do what I do I love it and that's why I do it."

The winner will be announced on December 18th.
