In Copenhagen, Obama makes pitch for Olympics

COPENHAGEN The president's plane landed early Friday morning in the Danish capital, where he is spending less than five hours. Backers of Chicago's bid hope the trip would be sufficient to give Obama's adopted home town the advantage it needs to win the close, four-way race to become the host city of the 2016 Summer Games.

The other cities vying for the games are Rio de Janeiro, Madrid and Tokyo. Many International Olympic Committee members are thought to be undecided about which city they would vote for Friday.

The White House hopes Obama's pitch on the last day of deciding would push Chicago over the top.
