Tennessee Mother Reunited with Newborn son

Week-old Yair Anthony Carillo was back in his mother's arms Saturday after being abducted when he was only four days old.

The nightmare for 30-year-old Maria Gurrolla began on Tuesday when she said a woman posing as an immigration agent came to her house and threatened to arrest her.

The woman grabbed a knife in the home and stabbed the mother repeatedly. While Gurrolla ran to a neighbor for help, the suspect fled with her baby. She was treated at a local hospital and released on Thursday.

Friday police released a sketch of the woman. Later that evening they arrested 39 year old Tammy Renee Silas at her home south of Nashville in Ardmore, Alabama.

Baby Yair was with her and in good health. Silas was formally charged Saturday with kidnapping and is now in the custody of u-s marshals. Her motive is unknown.

Jada Baron, neighbor said: "She seemed like a nice lady. You know what i can see of her. You know she seemed friendly."

Authorities said the infant and Gurrolla's three other children ages 3, 9 , and 11 have been taken into state custody, citing concern for their safety. While officials are not saying if the parents are in protective custody, Gurrolla will have to wait to take her children home.
