Double Homicide in Southwest Fresno

Fresno, CA "Shocking, it never happened. This is the first time. There's a first thing for everything, but hopefully it don't get out of hand like that ever again."

This man, who does not want to be identified, lives across the street from where four people were shot early Saturday morning.

Two of the victims, a 25 year-old man, and a 30-year old female died.

"Just loud. Loud shots. I didn't come out until everyone else came out. I just came out to see what was going on. And I saw police out here doing their thing and an ambulance."

Fresno police were initially called out to the Southwest Fresno home for reports of a loud party. They said it spread quickly through text messages and Twitter.

"It started earlier in the evening attended by say about thirty or forty people. At about 2:00, that party ballooned up to about 300."

When police arrived, they found four people in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. "The four people that were shot to our knowledge were leaving the party. They were confronted and fired upon."

Fresno police said the shooter and the four victims were acquaintances. But at this point; they don't have anyone in custody.

This is the 35th homicide in Fresno so far this year." We had no homicides in September and then we had three last night, you know and again this is just a reminder that law enforcement, we have to stay really diligent and really work our problem areas and stay on top of things and that's what we try to do so these things don't occur."
