Two Fresno Murders Suspects to go to Trial

Fresno, CA A judge heard testimony and found enough evidence against brothers Antonio and Benito Salas to go to trial.

The judge ordered the media not to show the men's faces today during their preliminary hearing.

They are charged with a double homicide in Central Fresno in June.

33-year old Pablo Mendez and his brother 49-year old José Mendez were killed in that shooting, a third man was shot in the face.

A police detective said the victim's family had a good relationship with the defendants.

Marcus Gray, Fresno Police Department said: "The men of both residents would help each other with different jobs, loan each other tools. The kids got along well. As of three months prior to this incident, things changed."

The Salas brothers are scheduled to make their next court appearance later this month.
