Swiss atom lab: physicist arrested on terror links

GENEVA (AP) The European Nuclear Physics Organization says the man, whom it did not identify, was arrested Thursday by French police.

The lab says the man was working under contract with an outside institute. It said Friday the man had no contact with anything that could have been used for terrorism.

Police in the Isere department of France had no comment.

The European laboratory specializes in high-energy particle physics and has been working for years to build the world's biggest atom smasher.
