Police said three men were in his yard. There was a scuffle and the men pushed the homeowner inside his house where he was shot.
Police said the suspects also hit an 80-year-old woman in the head with a hard object. Officers said the man and woman were taken to the hospital and are in stable condition.
Their attackers are still on the loose.
