Watson Hopes to be the Youngest to Sail the Globe

Friends and family bid bon voyage to Jessica Watson on Sunday.

The Australian teen set sail from Sydney Harbor to try to become the youngest person to sail around the world alone and without help.

The trip will measure more than 23,000 miles and take her through some notoriously dangers water. But Jessica said she's not worried.

"I suppose it's a big, scary, and possibly risky thing to be undertaking but yes, there's plenty of different risks, but we've just done everything we can to minimize them," said Jessica Watson.

Jessica's trip is expected to take about eight months.
