Tulare County H1N1 shots

The Tulare County Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program will be offering free H1N1 vaccine tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, 2009 at the Visalia Health Center. The Visalia Health Center is located at 2611 N. Dinuba Blvd. in Visalia, and vaccine will be administered from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. only.

In order to qualify, individuals must be either:

1) A healthy* child aged 2 to 9

or

2) A healthy* caregiver of a child under 6 months of age.

*Please note, healthy means no flu symptoms and no other medical conditions.

1,200 doses of the flu-mist will be available at this clinic, and are targeted to at-risk groups based on CDC guidelines. Additional clinics will be scheduled as vaccine arrives throughout the fall, and everyone will eventually be able to get vaccinated.
