Fresno Police Send Condolences to Cooper Family

FRESNO, Calif. Officers responded to a pair of 9-1-1 calls and threats from John Cooper. They say he pointed what looked like a gun at them, so they shot him. The gun turned out to be a replica, but /*Chief Jerry Dyer*/ says Cooper's father has forgiven the officers.

Chief Dyer said, "He has expressed to our detectives that he is understanding of what occurred yesterday and did not at all blame the officers that were involved in that shooting."

Neighbors said Cooper was depressed recently because he lost both his brother, and his best friend in the span of two weeks.
