A crime scene has been set up at a neighbor's home; but authorities have not released any more information.
Saturday morning, the Fresno County Sheriff's Dept. Search and Rescue team conducted a sweep of nearby agricultural fields in and around Mendota to search for missing 4 year-old Alex Mercado.
The FBI was called in at the request of Mendota Police on Friday night.
The boy was last seen at Pierce Rojas Park in Mendota. Mendota Police and local community members canvassed local neighborhoods on Friday night and Saturday morning, trying to locate the boy.
