First quarter, bulldogs first drive of the game Ryan Mathews doing what he does best. He turns the corner for the nine yard touchdown, 7-3 bulldogs.
After a Utah State score it's Ryan Colburn coming right into your living room. The 18 yard pitch and catch to Seyi Ajirotutu made it 14-10, 256 yards and a touchdown for Colburn on the game.
But the bulldog offense would stutter for the rest of the half. And the Aggie offense really didn't.
Quarterback Sdiondre Borel's one-yard sneak made it 24-17 Aggies late in the first half, and almost immediately afterwards, a Colburn interception just before the half allowed Utah State to tack on a field goal.
Bulldogs trailed 27-17 going into the half.
But in the second frame the bulldog defense hunkered down and the running game reared its potent head, first Lonyae Miller on the short two-yard touchdown run to make it a 27-24 game.
Then Mathews, for Heisman, I mean, from 10 yards out with 4:36 left on the clock, his second touchdown of the game would prove to be the difference maker.
