Fresno Police are now saying they found a 31-year-old man lying on the ground with a stab wound to the upper body
An ambulance took the man to Community Regional Medical Center in downtown Fresno. He died a short time later.
An eyewitness told police they saw the victim fighting with another man before he got stabbed.
This is the 41st homicide for 2009. Last year at this time there were 39 homicides in the city.
