Fresno State, Coach Pat Hill Agree to Contract Extension

Fresno, CA Further discussions will begin shortly after the holidays and details of the agreement will be announced following its execution.

"I am very pleased that Pat Hill will continue to lead the Fresno State football team in the years ahead," said Boeh. "He has demonstrated extraordinary passion as well as the fact that an NCAA Division I football program can be successful both on and off the fi eld. We value his leadership and preparation of our student-athletes for their lives following Fresno State."

Hill has posted a record of 100-65 overall and a WAC record of 71-33 in guiding the Bulldogs to their 10th bowl game in the last 11 seasons. In addition, Hill's student-athletes have excelled scholastically, with a record 123 Academic All-WAC award winners, three Academic All-Americans and two National Football Foundation Scholar- Athlete Award winners.

"I'm happy to have the discussions regarding an extension moving forward," said Hill. "I truly believe our best years are ahead of us and I'm pleased to have the support of Thomas Boeh and our administration as we continue to build the football program and remain a source of pride the San Joaquin Valley. Our primary focus will now return to the completion of fi nal exams, recruiting, and preparation for the New Mexico Bowl."

The Bulldogs are preparing for the New Mexico Bowl, which will be played Dec. 19 in Albuquerque, N.M. and televised live on ESPN.

Both Boeh and Hill have agreed that this will be the only public communication regarding this matter until the new Letter of Appointment is executed.
