Under the new clinics, district nurses have vaccinated over 12 hundred students. And thanks to a state mandate, nurses are stocking their offices with supplies like surgical masks. The district is waiting on a large shipment of latex gloves from the state, but has already given each school two masks per student.
While vaccinating students has been the main concern --the district is now offering the H1N1 vaccine to school staff.
