The woman had just parked her car when her attacker came up and demanded her purse and her car keys.
"There wasn't much of a struggle and the next thing the victim knew, she had been stabbed in her left arm. She felt pain in her arm," said Corey Sumpter, Visalia Police Department.
The victim doesn't know what she got stabbed with, but she had to get stitches.
The suspect never got her purse, but he got her car keys before some witnesses scared him away.
Police tracked him to a nearby neighborhood, but couldn't find him.
They did find the victim's keys, though.
