Fresno City College Centennial Celebration

FRESNO, Calif. Fresno City Councilmember Cynthia Sterling is one of six new "Centennial Honorees" recognized at the event.

This year, in honor of FCC's 100th anniversary the school is recognizing 100 men and women -- who went on to successful careers after attending or teaching at FCC.

Centennial Honorees

Robert Fox, Retired FCC Vice President of Student Services. He served from 1980 to 2009

Keith Kelley, Alumnus, President and CEO of the Fresno West Coalition for Economic Development

Marshall Kelley, Alumnus, Certified Public Accountant, Community leader and long-time FCC supporter

Dorothy "Dottie" Smith, Vice President of the State Center Community College District Board of Trustees. She has served on the Board since 1981.

Cynthia Sterling, Alumna, Fresno City Councilwoman. Recently completed a term as the first African-American woman to serve as Council President.

Dr. Bill Stewart, Retired State Center Community College District Chancellor. He served from 1985-1999. He was also instrumental in the creation of the Wall of Fame at the African American Historical & Cultural Museum of the San Joaquin Valley.
