Charges Reinstated in Tattooed Boy Case

FRESNO, Calif. Police say Enrique Gonzales held his son down against his will while another man, Travis Gorman, inked a bulldog paw on the child last year.

Last October, a judge dismissed a mayhem charge filed against both men citing insufficient evidence to prosecute them.

Friday, a Fresno County Judge reinstated the mayhem charge at the request of prosecutors.

Gonzales and Gorman now face a life sentence if convicted. Had the mayhem charge remain dismissed, both would have faced a maximum of 16 years in prison.
