Preliminary hearings wrapped up quickly Tuesday afternoon. Inside the courtroom family of the DeBartolo's and family members of some of the suspects sat quietly as they learned the murder case will soon go to trial.

From accused getaway car driver Dawn Singh, to suspected killer Leroy Johnson, all six suspects in the DeBartolo murder case will face the same charges.

Much of Tuesday's testimony focused on an additional attempted murder charge against Johnson. Investigators said Johnson attacked another man at the Motel 6 on Blackstone Avenue just four days before the DeBartolo's were killed. Detectives said the victim picked Johnson out of a photo lineup.

The Kerman murders and the Fresno motel attack are being linked together because of Johnson's suspected involvement in both crimes.

In the DeBartolo case -- police said 19-year-old Jose Reyes and 33 year old Christopher Butler told detectives about detailed plans to rob the couple. Reyes's attorney said that information could help his client cut a plea deal.

Johnson's attorney said the prosecution has to prove more than hearsay against his client.

Arraignment for the six defendants has been set for February 18th where they are expected to plead not guilty to the murder and robbery charges.
