A new study finds children with an extreme sweet tooth could be depressed or at higher risk of future alcohol problems.According to the study -- published in the Addiction Journal -- children who had a close relative with an alcohol problem or who themselves had symptoms of depression were especially drawn to sweets.

Researchers believe the sweet taste and alcohol trigger many of the same reward circuits in the brain.
