Young's Market opened its first store in Visalia in 1950. Since then, they've had eight stores in Visalia, Bakersfield and Fresno.
The owners said they decided to close the doors at their last store in part because of the tough economy, but also because they want to retire. Many customers said closing down Young's is like losing a piece of Visalia's history.
Young's will start a closeout sale on February 24th -- and the store will close March 10th. Any food not sold will be donated to FoodLink.
