One driver died at the scene.
The other driver and a passenger had to be taken to community Regional Medical Center where the second driver died a short time later.
Now Fresno Police are trying to figure out what led to the fatal crash.
"Right now we're a little early on. We haven't really determined what took place. Our collision reconstruction team is on scene. So our detectives are trying to determine what caused one of the vehicles to possibly drift into the other. It's a little too early on in the investigation to give you any type of determination of what happened," Lt. Anthony Martinez said.
Fresno police shut down Santa Fe Ave. near Fig Garden Loop overnight to conduct their investigation.
