Fresno State students remember the Armenian Genocide

FRESNO, Calif. More than one-million Armenians were killed and others were driven from their homeland by the Ottoman Empire from 1915 to 1923.

Students listened to music and speeches about the tragic events that took place.

Several events have been held around the Valley this month to commemorate the 95th anniversary.

California is the home of a large Armenian-American population. In fact, it's the largest outside the Republic of Armenia.
