Former company Chairman Joe Levy has announced a new venture called "Gottschalk by Joe Levy."
Levy says he plans to open several stores in California. Other retailers have moved in to fill voids left behind by /*Gottschalks*/. But loyal customers long for the Gottschalk brand.
Fresno resident, Cherry Coles said, "It would be great if they're coming back here. Everybody would be absolutely delighted."
Chamber President Al Smith said, "When we lost that everybody thought we had a lost a little piece of maybe our soul so to have those guys back in the picture is exciting."
