College of the Sequoias Evacuated After Bomb Threat

FRESNO, Calif. Administrators with the Visalia junior college say a man called the school's human resources department around 11:00 a.m. and said there was a bomb on campus.

A bomb sniffing dog from the Farmersville Police Department checked out each building before the campus was declared safe.

COS student Cindy Flores said, "I was a little scared at first I was nervous because you know how things have happened on campuses and who would have thought here in Visalia."

"To me it does seem like a joke but you never know when one's going to happen," said Blanca Ramos.

Classes resumed shortly before 1:00 Tuesday afternoon. No one has been arrested in connection with the bomb threat.
