The tournament happens once every four years and people we spoke to say it's an event that cannot be missed.
"The festivities. You get to see everybody come together when they can whenever you get something positive like sporting events like this it's always great to have," said Matthew Dillard.
This month-long event features over 32 teams from around the world.
Friday night at 8 p.m. on ABC 30, there will be a two-hour FIFA kickoff concert. The highly anticipated U.S.A. versus England game will be on ABC 30 Saturday morning. Pre-game starts at 10:30.
