Homicide detectives have been collecting evidence from the scene since about four in the morning. Investigators say the man was lying in a pool of blood and had obviously been shot.
Neighbors say they heard as many as five gunshots and say they're worried about the criminal element taking over their streets.
"I was kind of like astounded because it's normally safe, but it seems like everything is turning kind of weird," said neighbor Bryan Pennywell.
About a month ago, Sheriff's also responded to a double shooting just about a block away. Detectives believe that shooting was gang related, but in today's shooting, they don't even know who the victim is yet.
