Sudie Douglas is a community organizer who created a number of programs like meals on wheels for senior citizens and the stay in school program for young kids and teens.
But she perhaps is best known for leading the efforts to build the Cecil C. Hinton Community Center.
A tribute and fundraiser was held for Douglas Saturday in Southwest Fresno.
