The owner of the 500 Club wants to move the business from its current location at Clovis and Fifth to a larger building, inside a shopping center at Shaw and Willow.
The move would allow the 500 Club to triple its number of card tables and expand the dining area.
The expansion and relocation would mean more revenue for the city but it could also face some hurdles.
New card rooms are not allowed by the city of Clovis but the old location was grandfathered in.
