1 dead, 1 hurt after South L.A. roof collapse

SOUTH LOS ANGELES Authorities responded to the 900 block of East 59th Street just before 7 a.m. after reports of a fire. Flames were knocked down within 25 minutes, officials said, but the damage caused the building to partially collapse.

Two people were injured, but their conditions are unknown at this time. Search-and-rescue dogs were called to find any other victims.

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
