7th Annual Fig Fest at Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif.

Sixteen restaurants from across the valley made dishes featuring figs for the 7th Annual Fig Fest.

That included figs in salads and chocolate covered figs for dessert. Figs are one of the oldest harvested crops in the world.

In addition to the fig dishes, there were also plenty of fresh and dried figs and fig recipes to try at home.

Proceeds from the festival will benefit the Fresno State Ag One Foundation and the Bulldog Pantry.

A special charity fig feast took place Saturday night will benefit Slow Foods Madera.
