It happened around 11:20 Sunday morning at Lincoln and Alta in Fresno County.
Investigators say three men entered the house, shot the homeowner and went through the house looking for something. The suspects got away in a full sized black or brown SUV.
The homeowner was airlifted to the hospital. He is expected to be O.K. Deputies are now trying to determine why the men may have targeted the home.
