California Big 5 reach tentative budget agreement

FRESNO, Calif.

Leaders of the state senate and assembly met with Governor Schwarzenegger in southern California. After six hours of discussions, they reached what they call a "framework" for a potential solution to close California's $19 billion budget gap.

The governor's spokesman says it does call for large spending cuts, but no other details were available.

A complete agreement should be worked out by Monday.
