An overnight downpour lasted for about five minutes and made the roads wet for the morning commute. Multiple lightning strikes in the Sierra Nevada Mountains lit up the Fresno sky just after midnight, and some light rain poured onto the roads. That made the roads wet for late night drivers.
An ABC 30 viewer sent in pictures of a tree after it was hit by lightning Sunday night in Northeast Fresno. The tree limbs blocked the entrance to the gated community of Americana Shores.
