200 officers from across the Valley assisted the Fresno County Sheriff's Office and Reedley Police serve 17 search warrants. 30 guns were taken during the raids, including a high powered machine gun. Officers also found $7,000 and 20 pounds of marijuana.
The operation titled "Red Out" was aimed at a Reedley gang police say is responsible for most of the violent crime in the city. Despite a court ordered gang injunction that prohibits gang members from gathering, police say the group remains active in the area.
