The officer involved says the woman drove onto the railroad tracks, got out, and then kept falling on the tracks. So the officer grabbed her and put her into his vehicle right as a train came along.
Officer Jose Lopez said, "Within three minutes we were able to get her, one minute get her into my car, one minute notify dispatch, and with the third minute train was already coming. It was too late and there was impact made with the train against the motor vehicle."
The woman ended up with only a few scratches. She also ended up in jail, charged with driving while intoxicated.
