The city council voted Monday night to re-zone some commercial areas along Mooney Boulevard to allow grocery stores to move in.
At one point, Fresh and Easy Market had been interested in a location behind the Sequoia Mall. But those plans got scrapped because the area was not zoned for a grocery market.
Council members will have a final vote on this rezoning effort in the next few months.
