A family of three inside the home told firefighters noise from the fire woke them up. They found flames burning their hallway and moving towards their bedrooms.
Firefighters say they're lucky to be alive. "They were within just a few seconds of actually being overcome by the fire and the smoke. We have a fortunate situation that there appeared to be only a minor injury on this fire," said Casey Clark with the Fresno Fire Department.
A woman in the home was sent to the hospital, but the fire department says she is expected to be okay.
The fire destroyed one third of the home.
