California gubernatorial candidates get ready for results

FRESNO, Calif.

Brown talked about party unity on the day before the election. He was at a "Get out the Vote" rally in downtown Los Angeles, Monday. Brown told voters this election day isn't just about the race for Governor. He says all the races from Lieutenant Governor to Insurance Commissioner are important and he's encouraging people to vote today.

Brown's opponent Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman is in Southern California this Tuesday, at an Election Day party in Universal City.

Whitman spent Monday at one of her campaign headquarters near Temecula. The former CEO of E-Bay, made phone calls, urging people to vote. Whitman spoke about fixing the state and improving the business climate.
