Kevin Bailey of Clovis East will take his game to the University of Portland, giving the Pilot coaching staff a verbal commitment.
A slasher to the basket, Bailey will most likely play guard at the next level.
Several Pac-10 schools showed interest in him including UCLA and Arizona State
His dad, Vince says his son turned down offers from Seton Hall, Harvard, Penn and Northwestern before selecting Portland.
Bailey is also a star in the classroom, holding down a 3.97 GPA.
