Rick Morse is accused of plotting to abduct a member of the Fresno city attorney's office. Morse's arrest stems from a bizarre incident on May 17th.

Morse tried to make a citizen's arrest on Deputy City Attorney Michael Flores in front of the county civil courthouse.

Flores had filed an injunction that led to the closing of Morse's medical marijuana dispensary.

County investigators say further investigation revealed Morse and his son, Brandon, planned to kidnap Flores and take him directly to the attorney general's office in Sacramento.

Rick and Brandon Morse were both taken into custody in Santa Barbara County.

Rick Morse was brought back to Fresno and booked into the county jail. His son was released on bond.
