Suspected car thief caught after case in Fresno County

Deputies tried to arrest 45-year-old Martyn Carrell Tuesday morning at a metal recycling business in southeast Fresno. He's wanted in connection with several stolen vehicles and grand thefts.

Deputies say when they arrived -- Carrell ran to a nearby pallet business, stole a flat bed truck and took off. Deputies chased the suspect for 15-minutes before the truck finally stopped in a vineyard near Armstrong and Jensen.

Deputies booked Carrell in the Fresno County Jail.
